Sushmitha Reddy Sane is a versatile professional with extensive experience in product management, software engineering, and research. She is currently working as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Samsung's Voice Intelligence Services Team (NLP), where she is responsible for the development and maintenance of Bixby, Samsung's voice assistant. In this role, she has worked on tuning sub-domains for better NLU results, bug fixing, and mentoring interns. She has also worked on improving the given algorithm for Natural Language Understanding (NLU) in a chatbot project. Sushmitha has a strong academic background, having completed a B.Tech in Computer Science and MS by Research in Computational Linguistics from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). She has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at IIIT Hyderabad, where she taught courses on Distributed Systems and Technology Product Entrepreneurship. In addition to her work at Samsung and IIIT Hyderabad, Sushmitha has also worked on the Unreal engine to make a Samsung social robot perform activities in a simulated environment.
